Two changes to the first week of the 2008 NFL preseason schedule to accommodate stadium availability and local television partner commitments were announced today by the league.

The New York Giants will now visit the Detroit Lions on Thursday, August 7, and the Carolina Panthers will host the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, August 9 in the first week of the preseason.
