Pride of Detroit's Last-Minute Mock Draft

The NFL Draft is less than three hours away, and I figured I'd do a mock draft while we sit here and wait for Miami to officially go on the clock.  It's a little late to be doing this obviously, but hey, better late than never.

Looking back once the first-round is complete, I imagine my mock draft will look pretty inaccurate, but that will be the case with many mock drafts this year.  Last year you could go through and predict who many teams would select with confidence.  This year, however, that's not the case as there is still a ton of uncertainty heading into the first-round.

Anyways, here is my first-round mock draft:

  1. Miami - Jake Long, OT (Michigan)
  2. St. Louis - Chris Long, DE (Virginia)
  3. Atlanta - Glenn Dorsey, DT (LSU)
  4. Oakland - Darren McFadden, RB (Arkansas)
  5. Kansas City - Vernon Gholston, DE (Ohio State)
  6. NY Jets - Ryan Clady, OT (Boise State)
  7. New England - Keith Rivers, LB (USC)
  8. Baltimore - Matt Ryan, QB (Boston College)
  9. Cincinnati - Sedrick Ellis, DT (USC)
  10. New Orleans - Leodis McKelvin, CB (Troy)
  11. Buffalo - Devin Thomas, WR (Michigan State)
  12. Denver - Chris Williams, OT (Vanderbilt)
  13. Carolina - Derrick Harvey, DE (Florida)
  14. Chicago - Jeff Otah, OT (Pittsburgh)
  15. Detroit - Jerod Mayo, LB (Tennessee)
  16. Arizona - Rashard Mendenhall, RB (Illinois)
  17. Kansas City - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB (Tennessee State)
  18. Houston - Jonathan Stewart, RB (Oregon)
  19. Philadelphia - Mike Jenkins, CB (South Florida)
  20. Tampa Bay - DeSean Jackson, WR (California)
  21. Washington - Phillip Merling, DE (Clemson)
  22. Dallas - Felix Jones, RB (Arkansas)
  23. Pittsburgh - Branden Albert, OG (Pittsburgh)
  24. Tennessee - Limas Sweed, WR (Texas)
  25. Seattle - Kentwan Balmer, DT (North Carolina)
  26. Jacksonville - Lawrence Jackson, DE (USC)
  27. San Diego - Gosder Cherilus, OT (Boston College)
  28. Dallas - Aqib Talib, CB (Kansas)
  29. San Francisco - Dan Connor, LB (Penn State)
  30. Green Bay - Brandon Flowers, CB (Virginia Tech)
  31. NY Giants -  Kenny Phillips, S (Miami)

From the sounds of it, Chris Long is already a lock to go to the Rams, so everything after that is up in the air.  The possibilities are endless, but that's what's so great about the NFL Draft.
