Lions Sign Former-Buc Taye Biddle

Wide receiver Taye Biddle, who once was on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad, has signed with the Lions.

The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Taye Biddle, according to MLive Lions Insider Tom Kowalski. He was waived on Friday by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 6-1, 185-pound Biddle was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi in 2006, but missed the team's final roster cuts in 2007. The 25-year-old closed out the 2007 season on the Buccaneers' practice squad.

Biddle will only be around during training camp for depth purposes and will be cut by the time September is here.  I guess there's always the chance he could end up on the practice squad, but Detroit is already pretty deep at wide receiver.  Either way, it is always funny to see the Lions' bring in former Buccaneers as there already are so many of them on the roster.
