Lions Blacked Out Again

I originally expected Sunday's game against the Cardinals to be closer to a sellout than some of the games that have already been blacked out this season because it's been a while since Thanksgiving, which is when the Lions last played at Ford Field.  That wasn't the case, though.  More than 9,000 tickets were available for Sunday's game as of yesterday, and it is now officially blacked out.  The Lions didn't release an updated number of available tickets today, but you can go ahead and assume that there wasn't much of a change since yesterday.

Sunday will mark the fourth blackout in seven home games for the Lions this season.  The final home game of the season is in a couple weeks against Chicago.  Originally I expected there to be a chance for this game to be sold out because it is the season finale and because of how many Bears fans would probably make the trip to Detroit, but like the Lions, Chicago won't be playing for anything, either.  Given that, it feels like the Bears game will be blacked out as well.
