Lions Announce 2009 Draft Party

From a Lions press release:

The Detroit Lions will hold the team’s annual Draft Day Party at Ford Field Saturday, April 25 beginning at 3 p.m. and will end at approximately 8 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to watch the draft, which begins at 4 p.m., on Ford Field’s large video boards and enjoy other great festivities scheduled for draft day. Admission to the Lions Draft Day Party is FREE to the public, and no ticket is required.

The Lions will kick off the 2009 NFL Draft with the first overall pick, and the Lions have the 20th overall pick in the first round. Teams pick in the first round at 10-minute intervals. Last year, the first round lasted three hours and 30 minutes under the new 10-minute format. The Lions also have the first pick of the second round (33rd overall).
