- The Lions' last mandatory minicamp session will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. After that, players will basically have a month off before they have to head back to Allen Park in preparation for the start of training camp. Of course, most players will be busy conditioning during their break, but there are no organized team practices during the time off.

Jason Hanson was pretty solid last year, but that's about it for special teams. Harris wasn't bad by any means, but the punt/kick coverage and punt/kick returns weren't impressive to me.
