Lions Claim Cornerback Brandon McDonald Off Waivers

According to Tom Kowalski, the Lions have claimed cornerback Brandon McDonald off waivers. There is no word on who was released to make room for him on the roster just yet.

McDonald was just released by the Cardinals on Tuesday. He joined them back in September after the Browns released him during the final round of roster cuts. He began his career in Cleveland after being a fifth-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Back in August, McDonald made headlines for saying something extremely profane on Twitter about the news that Terrell Owens signed with the Bengals. Let's hope he has since learned to be smarter about what he tweets.

McDonald is the cousin of Broncos running back Correll Buckhalter. He was also cousins with Steve McNair.
