Lions Claim Jamon Meredith, Release Manny Ramirez

On Tuesday, the Lions made a change to their group of offensive linemen, claiming offensive tackle Jamon Meredith off waivers and releasing offensive guard Manny Ramirez.

Meredith was a fifth-round pick in 2009, selected by the Green Bay Packers. He was let go in the final round of roster cuts but signed with the Packers' practice squad. Buffalo signed him off Green Bay's practice squad in September 2009. He was waived by Buffalo on Monday and claimed off waivers by the Lions on Tuesday.

Ramirez was selected by the Lions in the fourth round of the 2007 draft. He started 12 games in 2009 for the Lions but hadn't seen any action in four games with the team this year.
