Fire Matt Millen ... Again

I have been trying to ignore any and all things Matt Millen so as to not waste my time being angry over him, but I'm going to make an exception for this:

I haven't watched a single Thursday night football game on NFL Network in the last couple of seasons because Matt Millen is the color commentator for the broadcast. Also, unless Michigan is involved or the game is really good, I try to avoid all college football games where Millen is in the broadcast booth, because the sound of his voice alone annoys me. I can't take this man seriously with anything he says about football because of what he did to the Lions over the last decade. It just frustrates me to even think about him, so listening to him is beyond annoying.

The video above is pretty much the perfect example of why this buffoon has no business being on TV covering a football game. It's bad enough that Lions fans have to deal with him being on TV seemingly every other day, but now he has the audacity to say that Rod Marinelli, the man who coached the Lions to a 0-16 season in 2008, is one of the best coaches he has ever been around. Are you freaking kidding me?

If Marinelli is such a great coach then why did the Lions go 0-16 under his watch in 2008? Actually, the answer to that question is Matt Millen, but that's beside the point. Marinelli may be a good position coach or coordinator, but he had no business being a head coach in the NFL. It is an absolute joke for the NFL Network to trot out this asshat Matt Millen and have him verbally fellate a guy that led the Lions to a 0-16 season. I don't care if some people think he is a good broadcaster; Millen has zero credibility, and it is a slap in the face to not just Lions fans, but football fans in general to shove him down our throats on not only Thursday nights, but also Saturday afternoons and Monday nights.

The "Fire Millen" movement may have ended two years ago when William Clay Ford finally canned him, but I think it's time for a "Fire Millen ... Again" movement to take place. This douche has no business being on TV talking about football, and quite frankly I'm sick and tired of it. It's bad enough that he ruined the Lions for nearly a decade, but now he is ruining Monday night football coverage, Thursday night football and a college football game every week. To ESPN and NFL Network, I beg of you, fire this ass clown once and for all so Lions fans never have to hear from him again.
