Lions Sell Out Jets Game Already; Gus Johnson To Serve As Announcer

Combine an impressive victory over the Redskins with an intriguing and exciting matchup with the Jets and what do you get? The answer: a sellout and it's only Wednesday. The Lions announced the sellout today, meaning there is no blackout and there won't even be an extension needed for a sellout to be reached. I can't even remember the last time the Lions reached a sellout on the Thursday before the game, let alone this early in the week, so it's good to see the fans will be in full force for one of the biggest games the Lions have had in years.

As if that wasn't good enough news, there is even more good news regarding this game. If you can't make it to Ford Field and have to watch on TV, you will get to listen to Gus Johnson be the play-by-play announcer. He was the Lions' preseason play-by-play announcer a few years ago and is from Detroit, so this is sort of a homecoming for him. Plus he's one of my favorite announcers out there and is certainly better than anybody on FOX, so it's an understatement to say I'm looking forward to Sunday's game.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and you can find the game on CBS.
