With the 45th pick of the 2010 Pride of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos select Florida quarterback Tim Tebow
Here is CapitolLions' reasoning for the pick:
The Broncos' cocky Josh McDaniels decides to take Tim Tebow here with the intention of having him play behind Brady Quinn and run the "Wild Horse" formation. Tim's leadership and athletic ability are not in doubt, and with Josh's play calling this could be the best possible spot for Tebow.
With the Broncos picking up another pick earlier in this round pick due to the Brandon Marshall trade, Denver decided to take a chance on Tebow to try to get a new fan favorite and steadfast leader ala John Elway. Will the gamble pay off? We will see, but I think worst-case scenario is he could end up replacing Peyton Hillis, and that's not that bad of a consolation prize.
