Thursday Notes: One Week Until the Draft

  • We are now one week away from the 2010 NFL Draft.  Just a reminder: Round one of the draft will get started next Thursday at 7:30 p.m.  Rounds two and three will get going at 6 p.m. on Friday.  Finally, the last four rounds of the draft will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m.
  • Chris Houston wants the Lions to draft a defensive tackle, specifically Ndamukong Suh.
  • Florida tight end Aaron Hernandez visited the Lions yesterday.
  • South Florida defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul apparently visited the Lions earlier this month.
  • The prospect visit tracker will be posted at 1 p.m. this afternoon.
  • Bills' running back Marshawn Lynch is not on the trading block.
  • Mike Williams has lost a lot of weight and seems to have his head on straight now.  Perhaps he can make it in the NFL while playing for Pete Carroll again.
  • The Lions are going to hold a press conference this afternoon to talk about the draft.
