- Steve Wyche is reporting that Oshiomogho Atogwe "isn't seeking an outrageous salary or guaranteed bonuses." Apparently what he wants is still too high for teams right now, but the Rams are hopeful that they will re-sign him at some point.
- The Lions are using an enormous tire for one of their drills since hitting isn't allowed in OTAs. And no, it's not the giant Uniroyal tire on I-94 (that was my first thought when I saw the article).

- Ndamukong Suh will be an honorary official for this Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at MIS.
- Shaun Hill's throwing motion apparently isn't very pretty.
"I don't know if you're ever going to say effortless and Shaun Hill and a pass together," Schwartz joked. "It's no disrespect to Shaun. That's what he has, and he finds a way to get it done. Those guys that have come up through the bottom of the league, I have a lot of respect for those guys."
Like Hill later said, "The ball gets where it needs to be and that's the name of the game."
- Jordon Dizon is beginning to think more on the football field after not doing it enough in his first couple years in the league.
- The Detroit Lions Invitational (golf tournament) raised $75,000 for charities.
- Tony Scheffler is thrilled to be playing for the Lions.
- The 49ers traded Isaac Bruce to the Rams so he could retire with his long-time team. In exchange for Bruce, Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers got a conditional 2012 draft pick that hinges on if Bruce plays in 2010. Since he just retired, that obviously isn't going to happen.
- SB Nation interviewed DeMaurice Smith, the executive director of the NFLPA.
- The 49ers are closer to finally getting a new stadium.
- The Redskins signed former Lion Mike Furrey.
- Another former Lion, Stuart Schweigert, signed with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks.
- Jared Allen, like most of us, believes Brett Favre will be back after the Vikings are done with training camp.
