Lions To Open Practices To Fans Again

Just like recent training camps, the Lions will be opening up certain practices to the fans again this year. Tom Lewand had this to say yesterday when asked about open practices:

"We are going to open training camp," Lewand said. "We're still finalizing the details, but we expect it to work very similar to the way it did last year, where we got a lot of open access.

"We want people out here. We want interaction with the team and the players. We really liked the way it worked last year, and I would expect something similar this year, but we'll have an announcement coming up before it opens."

In addition to open practices at the team's training facility, there will also likely be an open practice at Ford Field this year. The tentative date for that is Saturday, Aug. 7.
