Details Of Tom Lewand's Arrest

The police report about Tom Lewand's arrest was released today, providing details of what exactly happened on Friday night.

According to the report, Lewand’s black SUV exited the parking lot of the Limberlost bar and was observed weaving on Route 55 near Houghton Lake High School.

When stopped by officers, Lewand told them he had not drank in a year and a half. He went on to say he was the designated driver and he had pulled into the Limberlost to pick a friend up and was headed to the "KOLO" dinner.

Lewand went on to fail "a number of roadside sobriety tests" and refused to take a breathalyzer test until he was in jail. The first breathalyzer he took, as previously reported, was at 1:04 a.m. and registered a BAC of .21. He took another one three minutes later, and it came in at .20, so there's no telling what it was when he was first pulled over "shortly before midnight."
