Friday Notes: Jonathan Wade Sets High Expectations For Himself

  • Jonathan Wade has already made it known that he wants the Lions to go to the playoffs this upcoming season. Another goal for 2010 he has added to the list is making the Pro Bowl.
"I have some high, high, high goals," Wade said during last month's minicamp. "I'm very, very upset about the way my career has been thus far and I blame it all on me. I'm going to change it. I want to go to the Pro Bowl. I want to be somebody that's spoken highly of."
If Wade can live up to his own expectations, then the Lions' secondary will be much, much better than it has been in quite some time.
  • In Tom Kowalski's most recent scouting report, he explains that the Lions didn't draft Jason Fox for him to play this season. While it's possible he could get in the mix for the starting job at right tackle if Gosder Cherilus and Jon Jansen don't impress, look for him to be a backup at both tackle positions in 2010.
  • Caleb Campbell graduated from the Army yesterday. Hopefully now he can put all of his focus on football and getting ready for training camp.
  • I forgot to mention this before, but Pride of Detroit passed the 5,000,000 pageviews mark earlier this month. Here's to the next 5,000,000 including many more positive memories involving the Lions.
