Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, the third overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, has agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here is the breakdown of his contract (from Jason La Canfora):
Gerald McCoy's deal with the Bucs is for 5 years, worth a max 5yrs, worth a max of $63M, with $35M guaranteed. Another huge haul.
With Sam Bradford and McCoy now under contract, there is a range for what Ndamukong Suh will get money-wise from his deal.
1. Bradford - $86 million (max), $50 million guaranteed
2. Suh
3. McCoy - $63 million (max), $35 million guaranteed
Based on the range created by the deals for Bradford and McCoy, Suh will make somewhere between $35-50 million guaranteed. It's tough to predict exactly what he will get, but I'm betting it's around $41 million. I still have a tough time believing it will be more than what Stafford got, but you can bet it will be a lot of money.
