Last week, I briefly mentioned that Barry Sanders might be in a movie that is currently being filmed on the west side of the state right now. The movie stars Kurt Russell and is titled Touchback.
As you can probably tell, the movie is about football, and tomorrow night there is going to be a big scene filmed at Coopersville High School. You can show up as an extra (more on that in a second) and be in the movie, and you could even say hi to Sanders while you're there, as he has been confirmed for a cameo appearance.
The former Detroit Lions superstar and Hall of Fame running back (and arguably the best back in football history) will have a cameo, playing the offensive coordinator for the fictional Cuyahoga high school football team, according to Kevin Matusow, one of the film's producers. Said team will oppose Coldwater, coached by Kurt Russell.
