Jim Schwartz: Ndamukong Suh Is Missing Valuable Practice Time

Jim Schwartz hasn't had a whole lot to say about Ndamukong Suh's holdout so far, but he did address the situation briefly on Monday. His comments weren't about the contract situation with Suh or anything like that, but rather the fact that he is missing out on some valuable experiences right now.

"We have six practices in shoulder pads and six full-padded practices in training camp and we already finished two shoulder-pad practices," Schwartz said. "Those are opportunities that, once they are gone, they are gone forever. He's not getting them back. I am not going to change the schedule and put everybody else back in pads.

"I think the disappointing thing from his standpoint is this is work that you can't get back."

Back on Saturday, I joked that I would start panicking about Suh's lack of a contract on Tuesday, because by then he would have missed three full days of practice not counting what is scheduled for today. Well, Tuesday is here, and I'm not ready to be in panic mode yet. Am I frustrated with this whole saga? Yes, but at the same time I'm not going to panic unless this thing starts going on for more than a week and Suh runs the risk of missing games. Then I will start to worry more. For now I am just sticking with the way I've been the last few days -- frustrated.
