Aaron Berry Out For Season With Shoulder Injury

Matthew Stafford wasn't the only Lions player to suffer a shoulder injury on Sunday. Cornerback Aaron Berry also hurt his shoulder, and his injury is so severe that he has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Lions cornerback Aaron Berry has been placed on the injured-reserved list and will undergo season-ending surgery on his right shoulder after re-aggravating a college injury in his first NFL game.

This is extremely disappointing, because Berry played well against Chicago and looked great when he was healthy during camp. The Lions brought him in as an undrafted free agent, but early on he looked like a player that should have been picked at some point during the draft. He wasn't, which worked out well for the Lions, as he joined the revamped secondary and earned a spot despite being injured for a good part of training camp.

Berry's move to the injured reserve opens up a spot for Nathan Vasher, who is the newest member of the Lions.
