Matthew Stafford's Status Still Unknown

Jim Schwartz jokingly updating Nate Burleson's injury by saying that nothing was amputated was a whole lot more than anything said about Matthew Stafford's injury. Last week, we got very little information about Stafford's injury or when he will be back, and nothing changed about the situation this week.

Schwartz continued his line about not playing Stafford until he's completely healthy but would not give any indication of when that might be.

At this point, it appears that we will just have to wait and see when Stafford returns to practice in order to get an idea of when he might return for an actual game. Estimates have pegged his return at two to eight weeks after the injury happened, so it's not completely out of the question that he could be ready to go on Sunday. Then again, it's probably unlikely that Stafford will be back that quickly, so it's a game of wait and see at this point.

In other injury news, it sounds like Cliff Avril is making progress with his injury, as is DeAndre Levy. We will know more after news starts coming out about who did and didn't practice today.
