Lions Vs. Broncos: Thursday's Injury Report

Although Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford did take first-team reps on Thursday, he was considered limited during practice, according to the official injury report. That designation doesn't change the fact that optimism about him playing against the Denver Broncos on Sunday is growing, but it's worth noting that he wasn't a full participant.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Stafford on Friday when the Lions hold their final practice before Sunday's game. Even if he is only limited again, it seems like he will remain on track to play, but I guess that remains to be seen. In the meantime, here is a look at the Thursday injury report:

Did Not Practice

RB Jahvid Best (Concussion), WR Rashied Davis (Foot), OG Rob Sims (Illness), DT Nick Fairley (Foot), DT Sammie Hill (Ankle)

Limited In Practice

QB Matthew Stafford (Ankle), OT Gosder Cherilus (Knee), DE Willie Young (Calf), CB Chris Houston (Back), S Vincent Fuller (Elbow)

For the Broncos, RB Willis McGahee (Hand), DE Elvis Dumervil (Ankle) and S Brian Dawkins (Illness) missed Thursday's practice. DT Marcus Thomas (Knee) was limited and TE Julius Thomas (Ankle) fully participated in the session.
