- In E:60's piece on Ray Rice, he said that the Detroit Lions told him he was going to be the 45th pick of the 2008 NFL Draft. The Lions selected Jordon Dizon instead. Facepalm.
- New Lions safety Chris Harris, who will wear No. 43, flew to his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, after being released by the Bears, and he spent a day there before flying to Detroit. He is now in Denver with the team.
- Ndamukong Suh was not fined for anything that went on during the Falcons game.
- Tony Scheffler is looking forward to playing the Broncos, his former team.
- Florida and Georgia played on Saturday, which is fitting considering former Gator Tim Tebow and former Bulldog Matthew Stafford are set to match up on Sunday. - On ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown, Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson are going to be involved in a segment about what is a catch. That should be interesting.
- Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who was teammates at Georgia Tech with Johnson for one season, hopes to become an elite player like Megatron.
- Champ Bailey says it is "definitely going to be a challenge" to try and stop Johnson.
- Kurt Warner thinks Matthew Stafford's struggles mainly revolve around him not being consistent enough on underneath throws. I can't disagree with that assessment.
- Former Lions cornerback Leigh Bodden has been released by the Patriots.
- The Detroit Free Press put something together where you can build an Ndamukong Suh figure out of paper.
- NFL games this season are taking longer than they have in the past. This is no surprise, as the last couple Lions games seemed to take an eternity, although perhaps that's simply because they lost them.
