Lions Reach Sellout For Games Against Panthers, Packers

The Detroit Lions announced today that they have sold out their next two home games. Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers is a sellout, as is next Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers. This news keeps several streaks intact:

Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers will mark the 10th-straight home sellout by the club and its 12th in the past 13 games. The Lions’ first five home games in 2011 have sold out.

The Lions Thanksgiving Day game has sold out in each of the last 17 seasons (since 1994), and it has reached a sellout for every Thanksgiving Day game played at Ford Field (nine since 2002).

The 1,500 standing room only tickets that were put up for sale for the Thanksgiving game sold out this morning in a half-hour. Just like the Monday night game earlier this season, demand is very high, so it's no surprise the extra tickets sold out so quickly.
