  • Matthew Stafford has now thrown for four or more touchdowns in a game four times in his career. That breaks Bobby Layne's Lions record of three games with four or more touchdowns.
  • Stafford got off to a slow start on Sunday and went 3-of-8 for 35 yards and two interceptions early on. After that? As John Niyo notes, Stafford proceeded to finish the game with these numbers: 25-of-28, 300 yards and five touchdowns.
  • Stafford is the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era of the NFL to have two games with five touchdown passes in his first 23 career starts, according to Jon Zimmer.
  • The Lions are the first NFL team to ever rally from 17 or more points down to win three separate times in one season.
  • According to Dave Hogg, this is the third time in Lions history that they have scored 45 or more points three times in one season.
  • As noted by a reader (thanks for the heads up, Mitch), Jason Hanson is only three points away from passing Jason Elam and moving up to sixth on the NFL career points list.
