Going into Sunday's Lions-Saints matchup, one team is pretty banged up and the other is pretty healthy. Unfortunately, the Lions are the former. They suffered quite a few injuries on Thanksgiving against the Packers, and the end result is a relatively lengthy initial injury report:
Did Not Practice
RB Kevin Smith (Ankle), DE Lawrence Jackson (Thigh), LB Doug Hogue (Illness), CB Chris Houston (Knee), S Louis Delmas (Knee)
Limited In Practice
DE Willie Young (Ankle), CB Brandon McDonald (Thigh)
Fully Practiced
WR Calvin Johnson (Ankle), WR Maurice Stovall (Shoulder), S Chris Harris (Ankle)
It's worth noting that Smith said he was feeling "pretty good" yesterday, and he is in fact practicing today. It's looking more and more like he will play on Sunday, although as Dave Birkett notes, he probably won't be 100 percent.
Here is a look at the Saints' Wednesday injury report:
Did Not Practice
DE Turk McBride (Ankle)
Limited In Practice
LB Jonathan Vilma (Knee), CB Jabari Greer (Knee)
Fully Practiced
DE Tom Johnson (Elbow)
