  • For his 214-yard, two-touchdown game against the Raiders, Calvin Johnson was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Speaking of Johnson, he came in fourth in the fan voting for the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl. The final numbers were released today, and Johnson picked up 1,180,777 total votes. Only Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and Drew Brees had more votes.
  • Ndamukong Suh was passed by the 49ers' Justin Smith in the fan voting at defensive tackle.
  • Matthew Stafford finished fourth in the fan voting among quarterbacks in the NFC. Jeff Backus was third at offensive tackle, Dominic Raiola came in fifth at center, Chris Houston finished fourth at cornerback and Jason Hanson was fifth at kicker. The fact that Cliff Avril didn't even crack the top five at defensive end is pretty ridiculous. (Via Dave Birkett)
  • The full Pro Bowl rosters will be announced on NFL Network at 7 p.m. on Dec. 27. The fan voting comprises only one-third of the selection process, so the rosters won't be determined until votes by the players and coaches are counted.
  • Excited Ndamukong Suh Photoshops? Excited Ndamukong Suh Photoshops.
  • Lions linebacker Justin Durant wrote a column for the music section of the Detroit Metro Times yesterday.
  • Todd McShay's first 2012 NFL mock draft is out. In it he has the Lions taking Virginia Tech running back David Wilson in the first round.
  • On this day in 1997, Barry Sanders passed the 2,000 rushing yards mark in one season.
  • The Bears are going to start Josh McCown at quarterback against the Packers on Sunday night. I think we can go ahead and chalk that one up as a loss for Chicago.
  • Here's an amazing stat from Paula Pasche: Jason Hanson has never won a game against the Packers on the road.
