It has not been a good week for Ndamukong Suh, to say the very least. On Thanksgiving last week, he was ejected for stomping on a Packers player, and this week the NFL suspended him for two games. Because he isn't with the Lions for their game against the Saints, Suh decided to head back home to Oregon, and he was involved in a car accident early Saturday morning.
According to the police report, Ndamukong Suh was driving his vehicle southbound on 3rd Avenue crossing West Burnside when he tried to go around a stopped taxi. Suh lost control of his car and the back end spun out, coming to rest on the southeast corner of 3rd and Burnside after hitting the curb, tree, water fountain, and light pole.
The good news is there were no injuries suffered in the accident and Suh was not impaired. Also, no citations were issued, so the only thing Suh will have to worry about is getting his car, a 1970 Chevy Coupe, repaired.
Obviously a car accident involving one of the Lions' best players is no joking matter, but since he is OK, I did find the following two tweets to be pretty humorous.
By the way, for those keeping track at home, this is at least Suh's third car accident. He was involved in a crash in college at Nebraska and he was also involved in one in August 2010 in Royal Oak.
