The key thing with the Lions inactives is that running back Kevin Smith isn't on the list. He is set to start at running back for the Lions despite injuring his ankle on Thanksgiving against the Packers. Detroit will be without a couple starters in the secondary (Houston and Delmas), but at least Smith is set to play.
For the Saints, the thing that stands out to me is that McBride is inactive. He has been banged up, and the injury will keep him from playing against his former team.
