Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz was at the Breslin Center on Thursday night to watch Michigan State's basketball game against Penn State. He was in East Lansing to speak to sports editors at the Kellogg Center, and afterward he went to the Breslin Center and sat behind the Michigan State bench. Perhaps he was a good luck charm for the Spartans, as they won by a score of 75-57 over the Nittany Lions, finally playing well after a rough stretch of games.
Before Schwartz went to the game and witnessed Draymond Green's triple-double (only the third MSU player ever to accomplish that feat), he had dinner with Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio. Schwartz has shown an interest in local sports before, so I'm sure he had a good time talking college football with Dantonio.
Gus Johnson was the announcer for this game and chatted with Schwartz during halftime. Dantonio was there for the "pow-wow" as well. No word on if any of the three stopped by the scorer's table and talked with John Mason (the Pistons' PA announcer), who was at the Breslin Center filling in for a night.
