Voting Closes For Pepsi NFL Rookie Of The Year

The voting period for the 2010 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year award has come to a close. It ended at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, and the winner of the award will be made public during a press conference on Thursday down in Texas. The winner will receive the award during the presser.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is one of five nominees for the award. If the award were based strictly on statistics from the 2010 season, he would be the definite favorite based on the other rookie awards he has already won. Since it is a fan vote it's tough to say who will win, but I would still put Suh at the top of the list of potential winners. Lions fans did a good job of spreading the word about voting for Suh, and if that's any indication he should be in good shape.

The other nominees for the award are St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden, New England Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams.
