Ndamukong Suh can add another award to his trophy case. After already receiving a number of honors as the top rookie in the 2010 season, Suh took home another one on Thursday down in Dallas. He was awarded a trophy commemorating the 2010 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year, which he won in a vote done by fans over the last month or so.
The other four nominees for this award were St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden, New England Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty and Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams. Suh gained more votes than all of them to take home this award, becoming the first defensive Pepsi Rookie of the Year since the honor was created nine years ago.
Suh has already taken home a lot of hardware and has been a pretty busy man in Dallas this week, but hopefully he will have one more acceptance speech to make. The AP's Rookie Defensive Player of the Year award comes out on Friday at 8 p.m. on NFL Network, and you have to imagine Suh is the unquestioned favorite for this award as well.
