The 2011 NFL Combine is set to take place in Indianapolis from Feb. 23-March 1. Every year the combine is the event that truly kicks off the path to the NFL Draft. While we have already talked about the draft quite a bit with the Senior Bowl happening in January and the Detroit Lions being in the offseason for about a month now, the combine is what signals that the draft will be here sooner rather than later.
Earlier this week, the invite list for the 2011 NFL Combine was released. All of the big names in the draft pool are set to be there, and seven prospects from local colleges will be in attendance as well:
Michigan
OG Steve Schilling
LB Jonas Mouton
Michigan State
WR Mark Dell
TE Charlie Gantt
LB Greg Jones
CB Chris Rucker
Central Michigan
LB Nick Bellore
With the current CBA expiring just days after the combine wraps up, this may be the last time you get to see players on an NFL football field for a while. Needless to say, enjoy it while you can.
