Matthew Stafford And Tom Lewand Are On Twitter

New, comments

Quite a few Detroit Lions players are on Twitter, including Ndamukong Suh and Zack Follett. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz is also on Twitter, and he is no longer the only non-Lions player on the site. Team president Tom Lewand now has a Twitter page, although he apparently doesn't plan on doing any tweeting.

If you follow @ on twitter, don't expect any Tweets: "I’m on and it was truly to lurk and observe and read, not to participate"

Lewand is not the only person from the Lions to recently join the site. Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford recently created a page, and he has been tweeting away for a week or so now, already providing some useful updates about his rehab.

Just got done throwin shoulder is feeling good...stayin in athens with the boys for a few more unexpected daysless than a minute ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

This is unrelated to the Lions, but Marty Schottenheimer, the new coach of the UFL's Virginia Destroyers, is also on Twitter. If you would have told me a couple years ago that he would someday be using Twitter, I would have said you're crazy.
