Lions Notes: Packers Coach Mike McCarthy Talks Up Lions

  • If not for the lack of a CBA right now and his shoulder injury, Matthew Stafford could have thrown to receivers at Georgia's pro day, according to his agent, Tom Condon.
  • Packers head coach Mike McCarthy recently said that "it's very obvious that Detroit has improved their personnel." He also said the Lions have a "young, excellent football team that is going to be much improved next year." It's nice to see opposing coaches in the division taking notice of the Lions' progress.

  • Lehigh's Will Rackley, who is set to work out for the Lions at some point, impressed coaches at his pro day. According to Gil Brandt, Rackley is likely to be a third-round pick.
