Detroit Tigers Opening Day Open Thread

The Detroit Tigers begin the 2011 baseball season this afternoon against the New York Yankees. The game is in New York (the Tigers' home opener isn't until April 8), and it looks like the bad weather has cleared enough for Opening Day to go off without a hitch (knock on wood).

Obviously this is not a baseball blog, but I'm sure most of us are also baseball fans and I'm sure many follow the Tigers. Since there isn't a whole lot going on in the NFL world right now, I figured in honor of Opening Day it's only fitting to have an open thread to chat about the Tigers (or anything else you want).

While on the topic of baseball, I want to remind you of the great MLB coverage we have here at SB Nation. Bless You Boys should be a daily stop if you are a Tigers fan, just as Baseball Nation, which was just launched, should be a daily stop if you're looking for general MLB coverage. Also, don't forget to check out SB Nation Detroit, which will be covering the Tigers all season long.

I'll be back later today with new Detroit Lions content.
