2011 Pride Of Detroit NFL Mock Draft First Round Recap

Poddraft11_mediumOne round of Pride of Detroit's 2011 NFL Mock Draft is in the books. That means that only a week and a half after starting this mock we are already halfway done.

Before we get the second round started (picks 33, 34 and 35 will be posted on Wednesday), I want to take a quick look back at some stats from the first round:

  • Out of the 32 picks, latif's selection of A.J. Green for the Cleveland Browns with the sixth pick garnered the highest approval rating (90 percent).
  • Five picks received approval ratings in the 80s: Blaine Gabbert going to the Cardinals with the fifth pick (82 percent), Julio Jones going to the Redskins with the 10th pick (82 percent), Jimmy Smith going to the Eagles with the 23rd pick (83 percent), Derek Sherrod going to the Steelers with the 31st pick (84 percent) and Nate Solder going to the Packers with the 32nd pick (80 percent).
  • The lowest approval rating was for the first pick -- Carolina selecting Patrick Peterson. That rating (29 percent) was just a bit lower than the one the Vikings' pick of Christian Ponder received (32 percent).
  • The average approval rating for the first round was 62.8 percent.

A full look at the picks made during the first round and their approval ratings can be found after the jump.
