The Detroit Lions are set to host two players from smaller schools for pre-draft visits this month. Johnny Culbreath, an offensive tackle from South Carolina State (an FCS school), is scheduled to visit both the Lions and Redskins, according to National Football Post. Ammar Dyson, a cornerback from Lincoln (MO) University, a Division II school, is set to visit the Lions on Friday, according to Dave Birkett.
In other pre-draft visit/workout news, the Lions worked out Virginia Union (also a Division II school) offensive tackle David Mims last week. They also worked out Miami (FL) running back Damien Berry at some point recently. Berry also has had workouts with the Falcons, Chiefs, Steelers, Packers, Redskins and Dolphins.
One other piece of news to pass along is that Indiana cornerback Richard Council and running back Trea Burgess met with scouts from the Lions last week at the Hoosiers' pro day.
