With the sixth pick of Pride of Detroit's 2011 NFL Mock Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green.

Here is latif's reasoning for the pick:

For me, this pick was a no-brainer. The Browns were one of the worst passing teams in the NFL last year, mainly due to the inexperience at the quarterback position, and magnified by the lack of talent on the outside. As a team, the Browns ranked 30th in the NFL in passing, averaging only 200 yards while managing to throw only 13 touchdowns and a collective 18 interceptions.

When you look at the Browns offense, you see that they are pretty set at most positions. They have a much underrated line that features Joe Thomas, Alex Mack and Eric Steinbach. Among the three of them, there is only one game that they haven’t started in their combined NFL careers. They have Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty in the backfield, a reliable second option in Mohamed Massaquoi, and a pretty solid tight end in Benjamin Watson.

That means A.J. Green could very well be the last piece that this offense needs to be very good if not great. All assuming that Colt McCoy can take the reins of this offense and lead it where it clearly has the potential of going.
