Information On Detroit Lions' 2011 NFL Draft Party

From a press release sent out by the Detroit Lions:

The Detroit Lions will hold a Draft Party at Hard Rock Cafe Detroit Friday, April 29 from 4-8 p.m. Fans could have an opportunity to welcome the Lions’ first round pick and enjoy other festivities scheduled as the NFL kicks off Round 2 of the NFL Draft at 6 p.m.
Admission to the draft event is FREE to the public, and no ticket is required. Parking will be available in the Compuware garage and is also FREE for Hard Rock Cafe guests.
After making their first round selection Thursday, April 28, the Lions plan to bring the drafted player to Detroit Friday and introduce him to the fans (pending flight schedule/availability).
Fans would also be on hand as the Lions make their second round selection. As it stands, Detroit holds the 12th selection in the second round and is expected to be on the clock sometime between 7-7:30 p.m. ET.
In addition, the Lions draft party will feature several special giveaways to lucky fans every 30 minutes throughout the event. Those items include the following:
  • Two suite tickets to the Lions’ Monday Night Football Game against the Chicago Bears (October 10)
  • DT Ndamukong Suh replica jersey
  • WR Calvin Johnson replica jersey
  • Framed Ford Field panorama photo (13.5" X 40")
  • Team apparel, including: sideline team jacket, sideline team sweatshirt, 2011 Draft Hat/Polo Combo and Lions leather watch (men’s)
Other festivities tentatively scheduled, include:
  • Fans can watch live coverage of the NFL Draft aired both by ESPN and NFL Network on the many televisions throughout the Hard Rock Cafe beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Photo opportunities with Lions mascot, Roary!
  • The Lions official team store, Lions Pro Shop, will be onsite for fans interested in purchasing Lions merchandise.
  • Lions Kids Club sign-up opportunities.
