Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is going to take part in the annual Gumball 3000 race this year. He went on ESPN First Take to announce the news.
What is the Gumball 3000? It's an annual international "road rally" that includes a 3,000 mile course on public roads. Each year has a different course, and this year the course is as follows: "We’re going from London to Istanbul in 7 days, via Paris…Barcelona…Cannes Film Festival…The Monaco Grand Prix…Venice…Belgrade…Sofia and Istanbul!"
The race will start on May 26, 2011. Suh will potentially leave London to begin the race in a Dodge Challenger. He said he signed with Chrysler to supply his car for the event, and he likes the "juice under the hood" in the Challenger.
All I will say to this news is that I hope Suh drives safely. It should be quite the fun event to follow, but the last thing the Lions need is him getting into an accident.
