2011 NFL Mock Draft: Miami Dolphins Select Mike Pouncey

With the 15th pick of Pride of Detroit's 2011 NFL Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Florida offensive guard/center Mike Pouncey. Chucka is serving as the Dolphins' general manager, and his reasoning for the pick is below.

The Dolphins do not pick again until No. 79, and that will make it very difficult for this regime to address the many obvious holes on the roster. Running back, interior OL and QB are big needs The Dolphins are a team that places an emphasis on getting good value in the draft and strictly draft under the "best player available" motto. I gave serious consideration to Mark Ingram, as well as Aldon Smith (had he been available), but in the end chose Mike Pouncey, the best interior OL in this draft. He fills a big hole and should help the running game for years to come. I feel the Phins can find a RB later in the draft, as well as through free agency. They will also look to acquire a QB via a trade or by way of free agency.
