NFL Network has been running a series that ranks the top 100 players in 2011. The list was voted on by current players, so it gives fans a chance to view their perspective about the NFL's best players.
This Sunday, the show will count down spots 60 through 51 on the list. One of those spots belongs to Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who is ranked much lower than I expected. Of course, Suh has only been in the league one season, so many players probably haven't had a chance to see him play yet, but I think he's deserving of a higher spot.
In general, rookies weren't given much love on the list, so I suppose it's a good thing Suh is in the 50s. Mike Williams and Eric Berry are the only other rookies in the top 100, and they were ranked 83rd and 93rd, respectively.
In any case, make sure to check out NFL Network at 8 p.m. on Sunday to watch the piece on Suh, who I believe will be presented by Giants center Shaun O'Hara.
UPDATE: Dave Birkett passed along a note that Bears offensive line coach Mike Tice will be the one presenting Suh for the show.
