The Associated Press' Larry Lage spoke to Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh today and asked him about why he suddenly decided to attend Friday's player-organized workout. Suh said that it was something he wanted to do and things worked out timing-wise with his schedule, allowing him to "at least make one."
Suh was also asked about why he didn't attend the earlier workouts, and he had this to say:
"It's unfortunate that I couldn't make it more (to workouts), but I was traveling back from Europe and I didn't want to be sluggish for the earlier workouts, and I went to Nebraska to take care of my shoulder," Suh said. "My shoulder is doing great."
The article also includes a quote from Lions offensive guard Rob Sims, who said the players aren't planning to hold any additional workouts. He hopes the next time the players get together a deal is done and the lockout is over. Amen to that.
