Former Lion Jason Hunter Had Knife Thrown At Him In April Incident

Former Detroit Lions defensive end Jason Hunter was reported as being stabbed during a domestic dispute in late April. The dispute happened in Detroit, and Detroit police released the report on what happened this week after the Associated Press filed a Freedom of Information Act request.

According to the report, Hunter told police the woman waved the knife and told him to stay back before throwing it "on accident." She took her 27-year-old boyfriend to the hospital and later was arrested. Prosecutors haven't charged her.

Hunter's agent, Robert Walker, said Monday the five-year pro "is well." Hunter required several stitches.

Hunter spent the 2009 season in Detroit with the Lions and was released last August. Just days later he signed with the Broncos and switched to linebacker. During the 2010 season, Hunter appeared in all 16 games (making 12 starts) and recorded 61 tackles, three sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.
