Jim Schwartz Excited About Growing Lions Fan Base

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz spent Memorial Day weekend at Cedar Point down in Ohio. There, he unsurprisingly saw quite a few Lions fans and people repping Lions gear. He was impressed by how much Honolulu Blue he saw, and he went on to say that he has "seen more Lions gear and car window stickers in the last few months than ever before."

There's no doubt the bandwagon is filling up in time for next season. Of course, we need the lockout to end for the next season to actually happen, but Schwartz mentioned that one of the benefits of the work stoppage has been spending more time with fans.

One good thing to come from lockout is amount of time I have been able to spend with fans.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Schwartz also said that he is as excited about the fan base as fans are about the Lions. He wants Ford Field to become "THE MOST difficult place for opponents," and he is excited about the fan base doing just that in the future.
