A couple days ago there was a report that Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Johnathan Joseph is "the target" of the Detroit Lions in NFL free agency. While it was nothing more than a rumor, ESPN's Chris Mortensen added fuel to the fire today by tweeting this:
I say watch out for Lions and Bengals FA CB Jonathan Joseph
Many expect the Bengals to re-sign Joseph since they have a good deal of money to spend. Even if he doesn't return to Cincinnati, the Lions haven't necessarily been considered a serious player for his services since they don't have a ton of cap room and have a few important free agents of their own to re-sign.
That said, if the Lions are unable to re-sign Chris Houston, they may try to make a move to add Joseph, which would be a pretty nice trade-off.
