Detroit Lions Rumors: Robert Gallery A Possibility?

The Detroit Lions' offensive line seems to be set going into next season. Although some injuries need to be overcome, the starting line should look like this: Jeff Backus at left tackle, Rob Sims at left guard, Dominic Raiola at center, Stephen Peterman at right guard and Gosder Cherilus at right tackle.

Would an upgrade at center or on the right side of the line be nice? Sure, but no moves are expected. The Lions seem content with their five starters, and any move to upgrade would likely only happen if one of the current starters was let go. I suppose anything is possible, though, which is why this is very interesting:

Gallery started his career at tackle and was not very good. Once he switched to guard, his current position, he played much better.

For the Lions at guard, Sims got an extension last season, so could Detroit be looking to replace Peterman? I would be surprised, which is why this is only a rumor for right now, and even Mortensen said you "might" see the Lions get involved. There is nothing definitive, which is why it would be quite surprising to me if they did.
