ESPN's John Clayton joined Twitter on Wednesday and managed to pick up more than 100,000 followers. A big reason why he set Twitter ablaze is because he shared quite a bit of interesting information, and one of his last tweets before going to bed included some info about the Detroit Lions and free agent cornerback Johnathan Joseph.
ready to wrap up the first day of tweeting. I think the Lions do have a great chance at getting J. Joseph, but the Bengals are still in hunt
Joseph was originally planning to make a decision about where he will sign on Wednesday. That didn't happen, though. Clayton reports that Joseph is waiting for Nnamdi Asomugha to make the first move and set the market for cornerbacks. After Asomugha's deal is done, it appears the other pieces of the puzzle will start to fall into place.
I would be pretty surprised if the Lions landed Joseph, especially with there being talk that they might sign Stephen Tulloch after already adding Justin Durant.
At this point I would be more than happy with simply one of Joseph and Tulloch. If the Lions somehow finagled enough cap room to land both of them, I think you would be able to start adjusting your predictions for how many games they will win in 2011.
