Detroit Lions, Mikel Leshoure Agree To Terms On Deal

The Detroit Lions are about to sign running back Mikel Leshoure to a deal. Leshoure tweeted this afternoon that he agreed to terms on a deal, and Dave Birkett reports that Leshoure is en route to the Lions' facility in Allen Park to sign it. Here's Leshoure's tweet about the news:

Agreed to terms. Ready to get to work. Looking forward to a great season and career with the Lions. http://tinyurl.com/4yjvbr8less than a minute ago via SportsBUZZ Favorite Retweet Reply

Birkett spoke with Leshoure, who said that he is "real excited" to get this out of the way. Now he can worry solely about football and "get things rolling." He added, "We missed enough football. That was the No. 1 thing, getting in there and getting going as soon as possible."

The Lions now just have to sign Nick Fairley and Titus Young and their entire 2011 draft class will be under contract.
